Ladies Love Supper 2024
This year, our annual Ladies Love Supper theme was all things quilt and sewing. We decorated with quilts, machines, fabrics and many sewing notions. Our meal was delicious, but most important, we had fellowship with the women in our church and community. For each lady that came, we asked that they bring a quilt square, created however they wanted, but just with their name on it somewhere. One of our members owns a quilting business, so one afternoon, we got together and made the quilt top for 2 of our shut ins. A week later, we got together to bind it. What a wonderful experience it was for all.
Our Annual Mother's Day Meal
A tradition that started many years ago, the men of our congregation plan, prepare, serve and clean-up our monthly pot-luck meal. The ladies are required to STAY OUT of the kitchen:) The children make special place mats or pot flowers or some other item during their Bible classes for decorations and gifts. A special day to celebrate the ladies of our church that work hard all year. What a blessing!

Satan HATES Ladies Day! Proverbs 15 - There is someone God is putting into your life that will need you.
1 John 4:4 - A half-hearted Christian cannot serve a whole hearted Savior.
Love ALL the members of the church - do others run from you when they see you coming or run towards you? You never know someone else's situation.
Joy is being just a Christian. Neh. 8:10 - "The joy of the Lord is my strength."
James 14:13-15
God loves women - aren't you glad men are the head of the church? You have enough to do! God has a sense of humor because you make him laugh!
What is more important in your life than God? Let God be in charge and you will be the most blessed person in the world!
Keep the slate clean with God!
Session 2: "How Can I be joyful when my world is falling apart?"
James 1 - James talks about someone who looks at themselves in the mirror to reassess -- very important for Christians.
We need to wake up our brains! Think about your Bibles: Have you been reading along in your Bible and all of a sudden you realize there is so much that you do not know? Ask questions -- who, what, where, when, how? God shows and tells you what you need to know. If you see something you don't understand, use the resources you have to find out the right answers. Satan will do everything he can to keep you out of the Word! Ignorance of the Bible is Satan's biggest weapon. Schoolwork doesn't matter - whether they get to Heaven or not is what matters! Mark up your Bible. When you are gone from this earth, you want your children to "have you back." They will "have you back" if you have marked in your Bible! Underline the passages that mean something to you, then pass it on to those that mean the most to you! DO IT for your children. Make your Bible a commentary.

We spend a lot of our time trying to find happiness - look at Ecc. 2:26
Joy is defined as a very glad feeling, happiness, great pleasure Luke 15:8
If we are not living the Bible, how can we expect others to listen to us? God is joyful about one sinner who repents. Keep your slate clean - even the impossible is possible with God. Hebrews 12:1-2 - Jesus died a horrible, shameful death, but it burial was like that of a prince! He considered it joy! Hebrews 5:8 Jesus had to learn obedience? Wow! 1 Peter 4:12-13 Rejoice even in persecution - we cannot be ashamed of the Lord! Find the Joy! When we come into his presence (come to worship) remember that we are the players on the stage, giving HIM the glory! We have to FOCUS our minds on worshiping the Lord. Take out your songbook, get out your Bible, close your eyes, whatever it takes to get you WITH God.
Hebrews 4:14 - The Bible cuts a-comin' and a-going! We are going to be tested. When we are suffering, we are in the presence of God - when we need him the most. Our lives cannot be happy all the time - are you really talking to God when you are happy??
James 1:2-4 - Consider it all JOY! How many of us rejoice when we suffer? It's tough to rejoice when we are struggling! You are going to have things that bring you to your knees, but remember that you belong to the most powerful Father ever -- DON'T GIvE UP!
We should want to go to heaven more than anything else. "Remember, I'll meet you at the gate!"
